The Compensation Scheme of Last Resort (CSLR) independently assists eligible consumers and small businesses to claim compensation on a last-resort basis where determinations by the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) for compensation remain unpaid in the financial sub-sectors specified in the legislation.

There will be no charge to consumers for access to the scheme.


The CSLR will be closed across the Christmas and New Year period from midday on 24 December 2024 to 6 January 2025. Our team will advise of next steps or respond to any queries from 6 January 2025.

Please note: Any claims received on or after 14 October 2024 are unlikely to be paid in calendar year 2024. To receive your compensation payment before the end of calendar year 2024, you will need to have accepted our letter of offer for compensation from CSLR and provided CSLR with your account details on or before 4 December 2024.
